Heidi Britt Anderson and Erika Lynn Anderson are twin sisters and artists from Seattle WA born in 1976. They are fascinated with a parallel universe where humans really are animals and their spirits explode into view in vivid color. The landscapes they create are reflective of inner realms, embodying intuitive focus, connection to spirituality, personal mythology and an appreciation for the mysteries of nature. They’re approach to art making is experimental and multifaceted. It is accomplished with the use of different media, and is inspired by a variety of different ways in which to convey their view of the real and imagined. Born within minutes of each other Erika and Heidi embody a world that springs from the same source of creativity, where inspiration and exploration are a shared part of the process. Creative discoveries are made in individual journeys and built upon in a collaborative spirit, bringing new dimensions and meaning that can only be reached by their combined endeavors. After living both in San Francisco and NY making art and illustrations, they now live on opposite coasts, Heidi in Seattle and Erika in NY. Heidi and Erika have shown internationally and separately and are now in the process of presenting a body of work that speaks of their ongoing achievements and creative aspirations.
