Went to L.A had a great time

Last week, I went out to Los Angeles to visit my cousin. We were both in a wedding for one of our best friends. Trying to go gluten free! My stomach needs it

It’s been several years since I first heard about the gluten free diet. At first, I thought it was another odd diet craze for weight loss, but then I learned about how going gluten free was helping people with chronic health conditions feel healthier and decided to research further to learn more.

What I found was fascinating. Not only does a gluten free diet benefit individuals with celiac disease, a chronic condition where the body cannot process gluten and creates a toxic environment within the body, but it has also helped people with allergies and asthma in addition to chronic stomach issues feel better.

Gluten is the protein found in many grains such as wheat, barley, spelt and rye. Individuals with a gluten intolerance go on the gluten free diet because their bodies cannot process it properly. It irritates the intestinal lining, causing toxins that are intended to be released in excrement to seep into the blood stream causing inflammation. This inflammation can affect any part of the body, including the brain, causing neurological conditions such as depression and autism.

While there are tests that can be performed for celiac disease, doctors haven’t quite gotten a handle on the other types of gluten intolerance. As a result, many people who have gone on gluten free diets, like myself, have simply heard about the diet and given it a test run to see if they feel better. I was one of those people. With so many inflammation related chronic conditions and illnesses, and the feeling of always being sick and tired, I decided that a gluten free diet was worth a try.

Going on a gluten free diet wasn’t easy, though. Gluten is hidden everywhere. But once you get used to it and learn a few things along the way, it gets easier. Feeling healthier is definitely worth the added expense and effort of seeking out and buying gluten free breads, cakes, cookies, and snack bars. Gluten free foods are everywhere, and they’re getting tastier. It’s really nice to be gluten free and still have my cake and eat it too.

My uncles getting sued

My uncle James has recently found himself in an interesting situation. He has lived in the UK for almost a year now and is already being sued by someone who he thought was a friend. I don’t have the full details of what happened, but I do know that the person is suing him for taking a vehicle without consent. My uncle has been busy looking for criminal solicitors who will help him with the case. I thought I would offer some help researching some of the solicitors since I am off of work this week.

James has ironically found himself in a similar situation years back. I’m not exactly sure how he gets involved in things like this, but he’s convinced that what happened this time is a simple misunderstanding. He’s a great guy and does not have any earlier criminal convictions. I don’t believe he will have any problem finding a criminal solicitor who will help him out. I’ve only searched briefly and have already came up with several UK solicitors who specialize in cases like this.

I’m not at all familiar with how the UK courts work, so this will be a learning experience to see how everything plays out in this particular situation. I am a 27-year-old man and have never had to hire an attorney during my lifetime. I suppose I consider myself lucky that I have never been involved in any type of lawsuit. I am sure that it isn’t the most pleasant thing to deal with.

Hopefully James will have all the facts straight and will be able to hire a good attorney. I don’t want to see him have any problems since he is enjoying the change in lifestyle since he moved to the UK from the United States. His job is great, he has a nice place to live, but unfortunately he found himself in this odd situation. I’m not sure what type of penalties he is facing, but I have no reason to believe he isn’t telling the truth and will be able to put this situation in the past.

My neighbor just short sale’d his house

I’m always looking for new investment opportunities and ways to make money and real estate has always been an interest of mine. As a 27 year old guy, I haven’t had a ton of experience in this area, but I have been involved a bit. Recently, I learned about an investment strategy that involves doing short sales on properties. What exactly is a short sale and how does it work? It’s pretty simple overall.

Short Sale

When a homeowner is having a hard time making his mortgage payment, he can ask the bank to allow him to do a short sale. With this approach, the homeowner tries to list and sell the property for less than he owes the bank. If an offer is made, the bank then gets to decide whether it wants to accept the offer and take a loss on the property. The bank writes off the rest of the money that is owed and does not try to collect the rest from the buyer.

Getting a Deal

If you are an investor in real estate, using short sales can be a way to get some great deals. You can buy a property for much less than what it normally sells for. Once you secure the property, you can rent it out and bring in immediate cash flow or you can try to fix it up and sell it for a profit. If you try to sell the house right away, you might have to wait a while if you try to list it at market price.

Risk

Although getting involved in a short sale can get you a great deal, it does come with some risk. There is always the chance that the bank will not allow the sale to go through even if you make a cash offer. If the offer is below what the lender considers to be acceptable, it may opt to foreclose on the house and try to sell it that way.

If you can get the lender to accept your short sale offer, it can be a very lucrative way to make money.

Planning to Build a Greenhouse

Yesterday I spent time off from work researching a variety of gardening tips. I now have adequate garden space in the backyard and would like to start some projects. The first thing I am focusing on is building a greenhouse. I believe it is the perfect time to start greenhouse gardening, especially with the current economic situation. My local hardware store had several books on the subject, but I was able to find a significant amount of simple greenhouse plans on the Internet.

I have already chosen the perfect spot to build the permanent structure. The southwest corner of the lot receives the most direct sunlight during the winter months, so it makes sense to use that particular area of the yard for the greenhouse. I plan on constructing a modest size greenhouse so that I have enough space to grow vegetables and some decorative plants. My wife has a few things in mind also, so we are both interested in experimenting with different ideas.

Soon I will start creating a budget so I have an idea of what type of finances are necessary to begin moving forward with the project. I’ll select the right plans and material list once I know how much money I can invest. There are many greenhouse building kits available to choose from that might make the project a bit easier to carry out. I never knew how many different types of greenhouses there were until I started doing some research. Choosing the right one depends on how much space is available, what type of climate you live in, and the types of items you plan on growing.

I’m convinced that my wife and I will save money once we have built the greenhouse. The cost of fruits and vegetables has gone up, so every dollar we can save by growing our own is beneficial. Gardening has been an enjoyable activity for both of us throughout our lifetime. It is a rewarding experience to learn new gardening tips and techniques that help us make improvements, and I look forward to learning as much as possible.

Anyone here collect challenge coins?

Coin collecting is one of my favorite hobbies that has been an important part of my life. I started collecting civil war era coins when I was a child. I am now a 27-year-old male and have started to collect challenge coins. HVAC Project in the Near Future

I recently moved from New York to Indianapolis, and a new chapter in my life has begun. I am happy with the house my wife and I purchased, and I finally will undertake some do it yourself projects that I wasn’t able to do at the apartment. I’m the first to admit that I have limited handyman skills for a 27-year-old guy, but I am always willing to take on basic projects around the house for fun. One of the first things I’ll be doing is adding a fire pit in the backyard. I’m sure I’ll have help from my brother since he lives here in Indianapolis.

Having my brother nearby will be a great advantage for my wife and I. Unlike myself, my brother is handy with all sorts of things. He works for Indianapolis HVAC and has plenty of experience working with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The furnace in our house is fairly old, so one of the first things we budgeted for is a new furnace

My brother knows I’ll be giving him a call sooner or later to replace the furnace and offer suggestions for a new air conditioning unit as well. This works out great because I have someone who I know and trust to offer honest recommendations and complete the job in a fair amount of time. I also know that I don’t have to deal with someone else charging a high price for the job. I’ve always found HVAC interesting, so perhaps I can learn a bit from my brother and take on something new if my present job doesn’t work out as anticipated.

There aren’t too many other crucial repairs to make other than replacing the furnace. I would like to save up some money for a new roof, but I think that project will have to wait until next year. My neighbor has a nice looking roof, so I asked him who did the work and he was more than happy to give me the details of the contractor. The neighborhood seems great, and there are many activities nearby.

Old story about my first car

I was so proud of myself when I bought my first car. I had been working extra hard after school and during summer vacation so that I could buy my first car without a bank loan. I took on extra shifts at work whenever I could, and I didn’t spend a penny of my paychecks on myself. When my best friends went out on weekends, I was working as a dishwasher in a local restaurant. Even on my days off, I stayed home because I didn’t want to spend my money on concert tickets or movie theater admission.

Finally, I had enough money to buy my dream car. It was a gently used, second hand Ford Mustang. It was bright red. It cost every penny that I had saved, but I didn’t have to take out a loan. So, when it was time to purchase car insurance, I asked the agent to give me the minimum amount of coverage required by law. What I didn’t realize was that I would get into an accident just days later. It was my fault, and my insurance company paid for the other car that I hit. Unfortunately, because I didn’t have full coverage auto insurance, my shiny Ford Mustang ended up towed to the scrapyard, and I didn’t get a penny from the insurance company. That was a hard lesson to learn, but I realized that I should have gotten full coverage auto insurance to cover my car in case of an accident.

Ever since that terrible experience, I get cheap car insurance  every time I buy a car. It’s important to have that protection whether my car is used or new. Even if I get into an accident, and it’s my fault, I know that I am covered. It’s well worth the money to have the coverage that I deserve. Plus, I always shop for a bargain to make sure it’s as affordable as possible.

I am planning to buy a brand new car soon, a Ford Mustang straight off the production line. I am going to make sure I have full coverage auto insurance before I drive that Mustang off the car lot. I definitely learned my lesson when it comes to car insurance, but I still like to save money. So, I will definitely get cheap full coverage auto insurance that’s affordable yet gives me the coverage that I want.
